Ben Mor: Britney Set The Bar High On "Work Bitch" Video
Britney’s premiering the Ben Mor directed music video for “Work Bitch” off her untitled eighth studio album today, and her and Mor are pulling out all the stops.
Mor tells MTV news fans can expect a lot of dancing, different locations and awesome costumes in the video.
“I think this is a more adult Britney, definitely a more adult Britney,” he teased. “You can’t have soft visuals for a song called ‘Work Bitch,’ and we sure as hell didn’t.”
Mor, whose favorite Britney videos are “Toxic” and “Slave,” says he and Britney worked well together because she’s such a professional.
“You’re reminded that she’s probably one of the most-photographed pop artists in modern history, so she’s probably been and done more photo shoots than you ever will,” he said. “And … there’s knowledge that’s gained from that experience and you have to respect it and really listen to her.
“She does know what works for her,” Mor admitted. “As far as working with her, it’s very easy. She’s not a diva on set. She’s absolutely a sweetheart, but again she’s not shy to let you know if she’s not happy about something or she wants to move on from a set-up. … I think we absolutely flowed.”
As for the video, Mor knows once this video comes out Britney must continuously top herself here on out.
“I think it sets a high bar. I think you can only go bigger and bigger,” said Mor. “Granted, that I got the opportunity to do a legitimate Britney Spears first release [video], which is a huge deal, we pulled all the stops.
“There’s definitely a lot of surprises that I think people are going to flip over,” he added. “[We] wanted to set the bar as high as we can, [and] now, just hopefully match it or better it next time. There’s no going backwards.”
Tune in at 9:34 pm EST on the CW network or 9:40 pm EST on Vevo to catch the video!
